Dr. Stanton Andrist, OD

Optometrist

As a doctor of optometry, Dr. Andrist evaluates and treats diseases, injuries, and disorders of the eye and the visual system. Conditions include myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, presbyopia, amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eye), cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Dr. Andrist also provides treatment for eye injuries, foreign bodies in the eye, infections (pink eye), and other eye emergencies.

Dr. Andrist is a native of Crosby, North Dakota. He received a BS degree from the University of North Dakota, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. He has been with Moorhead Vision Associates since 1985.

Dr. Andrist is married and has two children. He is a member and past-president of Moorhead Kiwanis Club, and is an active member of his church, and sings with the local men’s barbershop chorus. He enjoys gardening, camping, bicycling, skiing, and an occasional game of golf.

Dr. Stan Andrist was Elected President of the Minnesota Optometrist Association in 2010-2011.

Dr. Casey Bartz, OD

Optometrist

Dr. Casey C. Bartz joined Moorhead Vision Associates in 2010.  A native of McIntosh, Minnesota, he holds degrees from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) and his doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry (Chicago, IL). Prior to graduation, he completed clinical rotations at Veterans Affairs Medical Centers in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Huntington, West Virginia, the Illinois Eye Institute, Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and at Atlantic Eye Institute in Jacksonville, Florida.  Following graduation, he completed an accredited Residency in Ocular Disease at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers of Louisville, Kentucky. His training included pre-and post-surgical care of cataracts, diagnosis, and management of dry eye syndromes, glaucoma, macular degenerations and diseases of the retina, emergency care of red eyes, including trauma and inflammation. He has participated in educational and clinical seminars with major ophthalmic companies such as Alcon, Ciba, and Vistakon.
 
Dr. Bartz is eager to provide quality, comprehensive optometric care for patients of all ages seeking medical advice of their ocular health and vision conditions by creating personal and sincere doctor-to-patient interactions. His clinical interests include family practice, eye diseases, and contact lenses.
 
Medical/eyecare missions are an interest with previous aid delivered to the citizens of Ukraine, Honduras, and Guatemala. He served as president of the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity-International which performed eyecare missions to underserved populations both locally and internationally.
 
Outside of the clinic you can find Dr. Bartz actively engaged in the community with involvement present and past is serving on boards for FM Opera, FM Symphony, and Concordia National Alumni Board.  During his free time, he enjoys playing piano, singing, and attending music concerts in Fargo-Moorhead. He was a member of the Concordia Choir in college.
 
Dr. Bartz is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Societies; as well as the American Optometric Association and Minnesota Optometric Association.

Dr. Patrick Williamson, OD

Optometrist

Dr. Patrick Williamson is an optometrist who grew up in Montevideo, MN and came to the F/M community to attend Concordia College where he graduated in 2009.
 
Dr. Williamson studied optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR where he graduated with distinction in 2016 and was awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award for the Class of 2016. During these years, he developed a passion solving patient's needs with contact lenses including spherical, toric, multifocal (bifocal), scleral, and myopia management lenses.
 
In his free time, Dr. Williamson likes to spend time outdoors with his wife and two daughters fishing, hunting, camping, playing hockey, and playing board games/card games. Dr. Williamson looks forward to working with you to help you solve any of your visual or eye health concern
